An Early Morning Royal Feast: Breakfast in Cinderella Castle

During a recent mother / middle son trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, my son wanted to make one of my Disney wishes comes true.   He wanted to help me cross something off my bucket list that has just never been an acceptable option when we go as a family (four guys and little ol’ me~ that’s a little too much testosterone for this meal!).   Since it was just the two of us this time around, my son wanted to give me my royal breakfast, an opportunity to eat in Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom.   This trip was our birthday trip and he was going to be eating at his favorite restaurant one day during our adventure, so he wanted to make sure that I had something that was my own, as well, so I was granted the wish of making reservations for the Fairytale breakfast at  Cinderella’s Royal Table! Hoop-Dee-Doo: A Pre-Teen’s Review

Of the many dining experiences available at the Walt Disney World Resort, one of my all-time favorites is the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue , located in the Pioneer Hall at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.  Combining hilarious jokes with singing and “a finger-lickin’ countrified feast,” the Revue is an amazing experience that anyone who calls him or herself a Disney fanatic absolutely must do at least once. I get it.  Not everyone  is going to like Walt Disney World (WDW) and many will go to great lengths to complain incessantly about the changes being made over time in order to justify their dislike.   The new FastPass+ system is inconvenient.  The cost is too much.  It’s too crowded.   The Cast Members are rude and don’t care.   At some point or another, sure, those are all going to be true.   The company is run by humans, is it not?   However, since our very first family vacation to Walt Disney World in 2007, I have been smitten with this vacation destination and I honestly cannot find another place on earth I would rather make special memories with my family – and we have been coast to coast as a former military family.  I have grown to appreciate the streamlined FastPass+ system (and other changes), understand that it costs to run such an enormous resort and have made some amazing friends in some of the Cast Members . In all honesty, I have found it is all about the mindset you create when you go on vacation to WDW.   Do you want to have a good time?  Are you expecting others to provide that for you or are you ready to create that yourself?
